A Sense of Place
A collection of abstract landscape paintings created with alcohol inks
What makes you feel a sense of a certain place?
Is it visual? The colors, the lay of the land, certain landmarks? Or is it how your senses are heightened-the smell of that place? The feeling- like the wind on your skin, the texture of the grass or water on your feet?
A sense of place has always been important to me. It’s a feeling that I can cling to, love and cherish. That sense is something that evokes memories and feelings and can make a lasting memory to cherish for a long time.
My collection of paintings, created using alcohol inks, is a mix of inspiration from a specific place as well as my interpretation of a feeling of a place.
My Heart Leaps Up
My heart leaps up when I behold
A rainbow in the sky:
So was it when my life began;
So is it now I am a man;
So be it when I shall grow old,
Or let me die!
The Child is father of the Man;
And I could wish my days to be
Bound each to each by natural piety.
